My People
Who I help and guide to find balance, power, and sense of self
Adolescents & Young adults
Let me put it simply: being a teenager or a young adult is hard. There are more expectations than ever placed on young adults today and it's a time of tremendous change and instability. Emotions are a normal part of being human, but sometimes those emotions seem so overwhelming that you might start to feel out of control and alone. It can feel as though no one understands you and no one is really on your side. It might even feel as though your friendships or other relationships are more stressful than they are helpful. That's where I come in. My goal is to provide a safe, stable space and support for you to navigate all of the difficult relationships, changes, and challenges you're experiencing during this time in life. You are not alone!
Adults
People often ask the question, "Does there have to be something wrong with me for me to go to therapy?" The answer is NO! Life is stressful! We live in a society that frequently tells us that we should deal with our problems on our own; but the research is very clear. Seeking professional support tremendously improves our mental and emotional well being, our physical health, and the health of our relationships. Whether you have been feeling down, or more anxious than usual, or you're struggling with a difficult relationship or major life event, you don't have to handle it all on your own. Perhaps you are looking for an objective perspective or want to understand yourself/life more fully. No matter the reason, my office can be a supportive space for you.
Children & Parents
All kids need a fun, creative, safe place to grow and blossom into the best version of themselves. Childhood is such a critical time in development--it's the primary foundation upon which our personality is formed and it lays the groundwork for all of our future experiences. It can be absolutely terrifying when something isn't quite right with your child and they don't yet have the language to tell you what's wrong or how to fix it. The good news is that kids are remarkably resilient. I am a firm believer (because I've seen it happen with many previous clients) that with the right tools, supports, and an unconditionally positive environment any child can become happy, healthy, and well adjusted. When my practice was in person I worked with kids ages 6 and up using a combination of play therapy and skill building to work through whatever issue that child was facing. Now that my practice is all virtual, I focus my work with kiddos on parent/caregiver support to provide your family with tools and skills for your child's well being, happiness, and success!
High profile individuals
Several years ago I stumbled into working with ultra-high net worth and high profile individuals. Through word of mouth, this has become one of my areas of unique specialty and interest. I understand that there is no hierarchy of suffering and there is no amount of wealth that takes away your problems. In fact, I acutely acknowledge that having more money and being well known can create worlds of complication. In my therapy space there is no judgment, there is no classification of "first world problems", and we can explore all of the ways in which money, generational wealth, and being well known can complicate relationships and life in general. Celebrity status and living life in the public eye presents unique set of challenges that few can understand. These career paths and lifestyles can be incredibly demanding, lonely, and isolating and you are deserving of a safe space, free of judgment and scrutiny, to feel supported, seen and mostly importantly human.
With regard to privacy and discretion for high profile individuals, online therapy offers the most secure, flexible, and confidential option to be seen from your own private spaces during times that are convenient to you.
